No. Many of our learners come from non-CS backgrounds—including business, healthcare, policy, design, economics, and life sciences. What matters more is curiosity, initiative, and willingness to work on real interdisciplinary problems. Some projects are more technical than others; your Program Advisor can help you identify suitable starting points based on your background.
Yes. The program is hybrid—most learning happens online through live PBLs and AI Foundations, accessible globally. On-campus weeks in Cambridge/Boston are part of the 6-Month and 12-Month plans (up to 6 and 12 weeks respectively), with flexible timing to work around your school or work schedule. If on-campus isn’t possible right now, you can start with our month-to-month plan and earn on-campus access after month 6.
Most students commit 8–12 hours per week during AI Foundations or coursework. During an active 8-week PBL project sprint, this typically rises to 12–15 hours per week. The program is designed to fit alongside university study or full-time work—most learners successfully balance both.
No formal test is required. Conversational English (reading, listening, basic discussion) is sufficient. Live sessions and project work are in English, but our team and peers are very supportive—students from non-native English backgrounds (Japan, Korea, Taiwan, China, France, Spain, and more) participate every cohort.
Yes. Many learners apply while still exploring across AI, research, graduate school, or industry careers. The admission process itself is designed to help you identify which AI+X pathways may fit your interests and long-term goals—so applying is often the fastest way to get clarity.
Application timelines depend on:
Most projects run multiple cohorts per year, but seats are limited and fill on a rolling basis. We strongly recommend submitting early—your Program Advisor can confirm current cohort dates and seat availability based on your target program.
No. Submitting your application simply lets our admissions team learn more about your background, goals, and interests. If admitted, you’ll receive an official admission decision and can then decide whether to move forward with enrollment. There is no payment required to submit.
Yes—limited merit-based scholarship support is available for selected students each cohort. Consideration depends on:
If financial support would significantly impact your ability to join, mention it briefly in your application. Our team will discuss possible options with you during the admission process.
No. Unofficial transcripts are completely acceptable for the application review. You may upload either:
The full process typically takes under a week—designed to be straightforward and personalized, so we can better understand your goals and help determine whether AI+X is a strong fit for you.
