A concentration is a completion path with a certificate. Inside it are programs — a PBL or the MasterSeries — and inside each program are topics: parallel problem sets you choose between. You take one topic per program run.

Four more programs and twelve topics sit outside the concentrations, including the MasterSeries and Applied Quantum Simulation. They are taken and evaluated like any other program, but they do not advance a concentration.

Do I need coding or AI experience?

It helps, but it is not required. AI+X Core programs and the entry tracks inside each project exist for exactly this, with mentor support alongside.
How much time does a program take each week?
+
Plan for 6–8 hrs per week over a two-month program run, including the live meeting. Most content outside the live session is asynchronous, and meeting times are coordinated across time zones.
Does the plan cover housing, travel and visas on campus?
+
No. Housing, travel and visa fees sit outside the plan. An optional accommodation package is available, and BlendED issues visa supporting documents and runs supervised programming on site for the full two weeks.
Can I switch between Research and Industry?
+
Once, in your first quarter, arranged with BlendED. After that the lane is set for the year, because mentor assignment, paper scoping and placement criteria are built around it.
What if we need to pause?
+
A set ladder agreed at signing: a 14-day grace period, then an access pause that holds deadlines while materials stay open, then one formal pause of up to 60 days per year. Completed programs and certificates stay yours in every case.
What if I don't have a clear goal yet?
+
That is fine. Your mentor helps you explore interests, try different AI+X fields, and define a direction. Several students arrive to test whether a field is right and leave having ruled one in.
